Thanks for downloading for my map mod. It's 2017 and the trees have finally started to grow again at Mount Chiliad Wilderness. Take the chance to hike the new trail of Mt. Chiliad and discover the true nature and its wonders. This is currently a beta version for now since I plan to add a little more details when I can (working on other mods atm and due to chronic back problems). Total amount of trees is around 1600 including a few plants/rocks. There are some vantage points I made so feel free to explore.
Requirements:
- Menyoo (Object Spooner)
- Object Spawn Unlocker
- Ymap converter (if you plan on converting your own maps)
https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/mapeditor-2-ymap-converter
Installation:
Menyoo
1. Drag the xml file into your spooner folder
2. Load map with Menyoo
Ymap
1. Move the custom_maps folder into Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\ (I have provided the example DLC pack folder so you don't have to download it from ymap)
Also add this line to your dlclist.xml dlcpacks:\custom_maps\
2. Drag cmwilderness.ymap.xml file into the custom_maps.rpf directory
Again, add this line to your dlclist.xml dlcpacks:\cmwilderness\
3. Load the game and enjoy
There are slight differences in using Menyoo and Ymap versions of the map.
Menyoo seems to take a toll on fps compared to the ymap version (5-10 fps decrease). Minor clipping of tree props is also shown in Menyoo
so if you plan on making a machinima, your best bet is using the ymap version. As for ymap, you cannot view the trees from a higher elevation
compared to Menyoo's object spooner because it doesn't the maximize distance scaling. So in order to fix that you will need to max out extended distance scaling
in your advanced graphics settings. As for fps issues, there's only a slight drop but it really depends on what rig you have (any low end rigs may suffer).
Plans for next update (1.1):
- Fixing more trees
- Adding trees in the paleto bay area
- Adding dynamic animals? (TBD)
- More grass/weed
